Advantages of a mini-split system:

Energy efficient –With the Halcyon system, there are no ducts and so there is about 5% loss of cooling vs. 40% for traditional forced-air systems.  This means increased efficiencies up to 27.2-SEER and lower utility bills!  Fujitsu even carries models that are Energy Star Qualified, which can lower your utility bill even more.

 

Individual Zoning – Individual zoning allows home/business owners to section off parts of the house they do not want to heat or cool.  Who wants to pay for heating a room that is never used? Now you don’t have to!

Quiet Operation – Because these ductless systems have both an inside and outside unit, the noisier components, like compressors and motors, are installed outside so the interior can remain peaceful.

No Ducts – Instead of a duct system, a small 3 to 4-inch opening is placed in the wall or ceiling and copper tubing is ran through from the indoor unit to the outdoor unit.  Refrigerant is cycled through these copper lines from the outdoor condensing unit to the indoor unit so the air can be quietly and evenly distributed.

Year Round, Whole Home/Business Comfort – With the Fujitsu system, 2 to 8 indoor units are installed throughout the home/business to create custom comfort in their own “zone”.  Indoor units vary by size and style, and all connect to the single outdoor unit.
